Welcome to National Pan-Hellenic Council
Hello there! Welcome and thank you for your interest in The University of Toledo’s National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)!
With a rich history dating back to May 10, 1930, NPHC stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of nine historically Black fraternities and sororities, collectively known as the Divine 9. This Esteemed group comprises 5 fraternities and 4 sororities: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. These fantastic organizations share principles based on Scholarship, Service, Brotherhood/Sisterhood, and many other core values that these organizations cherish.
In 2024, the University of Toledo is home to 7 of these organizations. Those being: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
At its core, the NPHC is a beacon of Unity and empowerment, fostering a shared purpose among its members. Our primary mission is to promote camaraderie, academic excellence, and service to the community. We actively encourage cooperative actions among our members to address matters of mutual concern. This commitment is demonstrated daily on our campus.
I made significant progress toward achieving Greek Unity on the University of Toledo campus. This entails supporting community work and encouraging engagement between members of all Greek groups and non-Greek communities. I want to maintain the work and reach our goal. In addition, I want to use Greek life to make the NPHC a friendly environment for new students and teach them about the organization's history and advantages.
"Jam Session,” “Meet the Greeks," and "NPHC Week" are well-liked fall activities to attend. On InvoNet, you can locate the times and dates. Stress management, volunteer activities, study tables, and tutoring are all provided by NPHC. Do your research, pose questions, get to know us, and have an open mind if you're interested.
