New for Summer 2027, the UToledo School of Nursing is expanding its graduate program offerings with the Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia program. Through advanced clinical education, immersive simulation and hands-on learning, The program prepares future certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA) while helping address a critical healthcare workforce need in northwest Ohio.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.)
Our online D.N.P. programs prepare nurses for the highest level of clinical practice and healthcare leadership.
Program options include:
- B.S.N. to D.N.P.
- M.S.N. to D.N.P.
Students develop advanced clinical knowledge while learning to lead innovative healthcare delivery across diverse settings.
Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia (D.N.P.-N.A.) Program
The Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia program prepares experienced registered nurses to become certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) and provide advanced anesthesia care.
Through rigorous doctoral-level coursework, immersive simulation and extensive clinical experiences, students build the knowledge and skills needed to practice as CRNAs in a variety of healthcare settings. The hybrid program combines advanced clinical preparation with the leadership and practice expertise of a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.

Graduate-Entry M.S.N. (GEM) Program
Already have a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field? The Graduate-Entry Master of Science in Nursing (GEM) program offers an accelerated pathway into the nursing profession.
The GEM program is designed for motivated career changers seeking to become registered nurses while earning a master’s degree. Students gain extensive clinical experience and graduate prepared to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam.
