Professional Biography
David Richardson joins The University of Toledo as the Program Coordinator for the prestigious APEX Accelerator, bringing over 30 years of proven experience in successfully securing and managing federal, state, and local government contracts. With an exceptional track record, David has been instrumental in helping businesses navigate the complex world of government procurement.
Prior to this role, David served as the Vice President of Sales at First Onsite, where he spearheaded new business development efforts in the commercial and government sectors. During his tenure, he negotiated 13 multi-year Master Service Agreements for disaster restoration services, generating substantial revenue growth for the company. David's expertise also encompasses his prior roles as the Director of Business Development at Alloy Group and the Director of the Government Sector at Polygon US Corporation. In these positions, he managed over $40 million in annual sales and maintained a remarkable 100% win ratio on federal government contract proposals.
In his current position as the APEX Program Coordinator, David will leverage his vast experience to counsel and advise business clients on the strategies and processes required to effectively seek, obtain, and perform on prime contracts and subcontracts with various government agencies. His proven ability to assist clients in developing targeted approaches to the government market, as well as his in-depth understanding of the procurement landscape, will be invaluable assets to the APEX program and its participants.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo, complemented by a certification from the renowned Dale Carnegie Sales Training program. He also previously held a Secret security clearance, further demonstrating his extensive expertise in the government sector.
