The UToledo Business Incubator offers a wide variety of business and funding resources and is here to help you on your entrepreneurial journey.

To receive assistance from The University of Toledo Business Incubator (UTBI), entrepreneurs must be:

Interested in starting a business in Northwest Ohio (or)
Registered a business in Ohio within the last three years.
Technology or Technology-Enabled concept or business within the following focus areas:
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Advanced Materials
- Biomedical
- Energy
- Life Sciences
- Sensors
- Software / Information Technology
Companies must fall within Imagining, Incubating or Demonstrating stages outlined by the Ohio Department of Development Technology Commercialization Framework.
Established businesses located outside of Ohio may apply to lease space within the incubator if they’re looking to relocate or establish a principal place of business in Ohio.

* A “Tech-Enabled” company uses available technology to create a unique, proprietary competitive advantage that positions them to be a high- growth, scalable company, with the potential for VC backing.
