To establish NOCRI as a regional and national leader in cancer research and innovation, uniting the strengths of the University of Toledo and its partners to advance scientific discovery, improve patient outcomes, and reduce the cancer burden in our communities and beyond.

Mission

Our mission is to foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment that integrates basic, translational, and clinical cancer research across The University of Toledo and Northwest Ohio.

The Institute is dedicated to:

1. Advancing scientific understanding of cancer through innovative research and discovery;
2. Promoting cross-campus and cross-disciplinary collaboration to drive high-impact research and funding success;
3. Training and mentoring the next generation of cancer researchers and clinicians;
4. Engaging the broader community to foster philanthropic support and public partnership; and
5. Accelerating the translation of research discoveries into improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer for the people of Northwest Ohio and beyond.
