Alice Robie Resnick

Alice Robie ResnickIn 1975 Alice Robie Resnick was elected judge of Toledo Municipal Court. In 1982 she became the first woman elected judge of the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals, and in 1988 the second elected woman on the Ohio Supreme Court and fourth woman elected to statewide office. Justice Resnick is a mentor to countless women lawyers, and founder of the Toledo and the Ohio Women’s Bar Associations. Among other leadership initiatives on behalf of women, she was the founder of the Joint Task Force on Gender Fairness (1995).
