ASSESSMENT
The faculty mentor and the medical student must complete the Medical Student Mentored Research Contractin order to clearly define the research project objectives. The learning experience will be evaluated by both formative and summative feedback as follows:
- Feedback for Student/Mentee : The mentor is encouraged to meet regularly with the student throughout the project to discuss progress. In addition, at least annually during the research experience the mentor should provide written formative feedback. Please see Student Evaluation Form. Mentors should evaluate only the skills that apply to the specific project.
- Feedback for Mentor: Students must complete the Mentor Evaluation Form upon completion of the research experience
