Toledo Starz
October through April: Toledo Starz is an after-school enrichment program for high school students, particularly those who have an interest in the health professions.
This unique after school program brings health sciences alive and is geared for students who have a motivated interest in pursuing health science careers. The students from Toledo area high schools are invited to participate in a series of monthly sessions, which are held weekdays from 4-6p.m. October through April.
REACH Program
The Research Experience and Awareness of Clinical Health (REACH) program is a two-week summer clinical and research experience program that exposes high school students to clinical research and clinical experiences. The nationally recognized program offers students a meaningful experience in a variety of health-related clinical settings which stimulates an interest towards careers in the health sciences.

- ROTY – Reach Out to Youth
- The Reach Out to Youth program targets students ages 7-11 from our local elementary schools, who aspire towards careers in the medical arts and sciences. Students will participate in interactive small group sessions exploring lessons and activities about the Brain. These workshops are designed to motivate students and lead them to careers in medical arts and sciences, as well as educate them on the science behind healthy living.

- Empowering Future Leaders: Career Summit
- An opportunity for youth in 6-12th grade to experience a variety of different careers and professions they may have not been exposed to in the past, allowing them to formulate a vision for their own potential career while making connections in the process.
April 9, 2024
- Toledo STARZ Program Graduation
- The STARZ student participants, who have been in the program since October, will be presenting their scholarly projects during a celebration dinner for their graduation.
