Prospective Undergraduates - B.S.N. Programs

Nurses are natural leaders, caretakers and problem-solvers. The University of Toledo gives you the knowledge and skills to turn your natural talents into a fulfilling career.

We offer multiple paths to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree:

  1. A traditional undergraduate B.S.N. program
    • Direct, guaranteed admission — for those who qualify
      Requirements:
      • GPA of 3.8 or higher through our test-optional pathway or
        GPA of 3.6 or higher and ACT score of 23/SAT score of 1130
      • Achieve a 3.5 GPA while at UToledo

The application deadline for the direct admission to Nursing is Jan. 3, and application materials need to be received by Jan. 31.  Applications received after Jan. 3 are considered for the Traditional Pre-Nursing Pathway.

    • Pre-nursing — Students complete two years of a pre-nursing curriculum and then apply to the nursing major
      Requirements:
      • GPA of 3.0 through our test-optional pathway or
        GPA of 2.75 and ACT score of 19/SAT score of 990
      • Maintain a 3.0 GPA while at UToledo
    • Transfer admission — for those wishing to transfer into the pre-licensure track
      Requirements:
      • Must be in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 and 12 graded semester hours
      • Admission to the upper division pre-licensure track is competitive. A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 to be eligible to apply for the upper division professional major. 
  1. An online RN-B.S.N. program for nurses who already have their licenses and want to advance their careers
  2. If you already have a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing and want to start a career in nursing, consider our accelerated degree program, Graduate-Entry Master of Science in Nursing.
