Event Calendars on utoledo.edu
The University of Toledo has invested in and supports the Modern Campus Event Calendar.
Other calendar products cannot be integrated into utoledo.edu without review and approval by the Office of Marketing and Communications.
Event calendar requirements and procedures:
- There must be at least six events always posted. This is necessary to sustain an RSS feed and to show positive engagement. Contact your marketing strategist to review solutions for less frequent event marketing.
- Events need to be sponsored by UToledo – college, department, program, center, institute, office – not outside groups or partners.
- Events postings cannot include advertisements for companies, products or solicitations.
- Event listing should have a title, date/time, location, UToledo college/dept, description and contact information. A brand quality image and website link to additional information are encouraged.
- Only event information that is finalized and ready for public viewing should be published to a calendar.
- Classes, office hours, department meetings, events for employees, private/invitation-only events, student club meetings and save-the-dates will not be displayed on University calendars.
- Documents attached to a calendar post must be hosted on the University website and comply with federal accessibility requirements. Documents that duplicate the same information provided in the calendar title, description or image will not be posted on the calendar.
- Events can be posted on multiple calendars across the University. See the Events page for the list of current calendars.
The Office of Marketing and Communications oversees the University of Toledo website, including calendars managed by colleges, departments, centers and institutes. The office may delete and/or edit calendars and/or event listings that do not meet appropriate criteria, brand and style guide requirements, state or federal laws or University of Toledo policies and procedures.
Requesting and managing an event calendar
Colleges, departments, programs, centers, institutes and offices can request a calendar.
The college/department/program/etc. must have at least one designated calendar administrator.
The calendar must meet the events calendar requirements outlined above.
New calendar requests can be sent via Web Support Request.
