Lancelot Thompson Student Union

At the center of campus, the Lancelot Thompson Student Union brings people together. It's where students build community, organizations can host events and campus traditions come to life. Designed to support everything from studying and dining to meetings, conferences and celebrations, the Student Union offers a variety of spaces that foster connection across the university and more.

The Student Union was renamed after Dr. Lancelot Thompson, who first joined UToledo in 1958 as an assistant professor of chemistry and the first full-time African-American faculty member.
