Learn how to make an origami crane. Join the Counseling Center in the 1000 Crane Project. We have made and collected 646+ cranes. The crane has become a symbol of healing, happiness, and hope in Japan. According to the Japanese tradition, if you fold 1,000 paper cranes your prayer or wish will be granted. Legend is that the crane lives 1,000 years and is the significance behind the quantity. Follow our social media to join and make a crane with us live and to add your crane to our total. Want to try on your own, here are links to a video and a written tutorial.

Create a vision board. It may not be January of 2020, but it is not too late to make a visual representation of what you would like to accomplish, how you would like to feel, or what impact on your family and community you would like to have. We dream in pictures, capture some on a piece of paper, a poster board, or do a digital one. Here’s an article for tips to get started!

Make a list of all the people who were a positive influence on your life and write each of them a thank you letter. Think for a bit about all of the people who have inspired you and helped you along in your current life path. Make a list of all of these people –Then pull out some paper and a pen and write each of them a handwritten letter, reminding them of how they helped you out and thanking them for doing so. It’s a great way to get in touch with the people who helped shape your life, and it’s something you’ll feel genuinely good about doing.
