CAREER DEVELOPMENT
- Update/create a full Handshake profile to search thousands full-time jobs
- Enhance resume with Rocket Career Center and the Writing Center
- Get your copy of Career Services’ career skill guides
- Request their Resume Guide, Employment Correspondence Guide, Interview Guide, and
Job Search Guide
- Set up mock interview and refine your interview skills using Big Interview
- Big Interview: MyUT > Student Resources Tab > Rocket Career Center
- Continue to network professionally
- Create a LinkedIn profile
- Clean up all social media pages
- Secure at least 3 professional references
- Develop a post-graduation plan (and back-up plan)
- See your success coach for our Level Up reflection packet
- Strategize with faculty about job seeking strategies and back-up plans
- Locate a mentor in your field
- Build your professional attire (visit Rocket Style Career Closet as needed)
- Maintain a healthy credit score
- Write thank you notes to those who helped you in your college journey. Foster a professional/networking
relationship with them.
GRADUATE SCHOOL (if applicable)
- Apply to graduate school according to your desired timeline
- Secure at least 3 professional references
- Take any required testing
- File FAFSA and pursue graduate assistantships
