Welcome to the UT Band Program
The Band Program at The University of Toledo offers a variety of performance and educational opportunities for all university students. Whether you are interested in pursuing a degree in music, or are simply looking to continue with music as a source of entertainment and self-growth, it's an exciting time to get involved.
News & Updates
- Symphonic Band
The UT Symphonic Band is open to all UT students, regardless of major. The band will be performing a variety of classic band repertoire this semester. The new rehearsal schedule for Spring 2012 is Monday & Wednesday, 4:00-5:30, and Friday, 4:00-5:00. Seating auditions will be during the first rehearsal - Monday, January 9. - Drumline Workshops
The RMB Drumline Workshops begin this Wednesday, January 11 and continue weekly throughout the semester. These workshops are open to any student at UT or area high schools who are interested in drumming and potentially auditioning for the 2012 UT Rocket Marching Band Drumline. If interested, or need more information, contact Xavier Verna at xverna@gmail.com. - 2012 High School Honor Band
This year's UT High School Honor Band is schedule for March 23, 24 & 25. Since the first event in 2009, interest and participation in this annual event has exploded. There is no participation fee and no audition. However, participants must be nominated by their band directors. More information will be sent and posted in January. For now - save the date.
The Rocket Marching Band
The University of Toledo Rocket Marching Band is one of the largest and most visible student groups on campus! With 150 musicians, dancers, color guard, and a featured twirler, the RMB is a positive source of pride and school spirit for you as well as the entire UT community. Auditions for the 2012 RMB Drumline, Color Guard, Feature Twirler, and Dancing Rockettes will begin in April of this year. There are no formal auditions for wind players. If you plan to attend UT this fall and are interested in joining the Rocket Marching Band, visit the RMB page for more information.
University Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band
The concert ensembles are a vibrant part of the Department of Music and the Band Program at UT. The Wind Ensemble (Music Majors Only) and the Symphonic Band (Open to all UT students, regardless of major) perform several concerts throughout the year. Whether you want to be challenged as a player or just want to have fun playing music, we have an ensemble for you.
