Ohio's only university to require and support experiences for all

ASCEND

Starting with the incoming 2026–27 class, every undergraduate — regardless of major — must complete an experience-based learning opportunity to graduate. The Board of Trustees endorsed ASCEND in June 2026, delivering on UToledo Advantage, one of the three "launchpads" President Holloway introduced in his October 2025 inaugural address.
