Blaine Stout is a consultant focused on operations, technology, information systems, data analytic applications and their management. Blaine earned a Ph.D. in Manufacturing and Technology Management from the University of Toledo, an Executive MBA from University of Toledo and a BS in Business from the University of Pittsburgh, USA.

His career experience began in sales and marketing, moving onto roles in regional and national sales management, heading merchandising and product development teams, advancing to operations and executive management of business units and divisions with privately held and privately traded manufacturing companies. He has served at ‘C’ level management positions with start-up manufacturers.

Scientifically and academically, he participated in the National Science Foundation iCorp Innovation program serving as an industry mentor with the University of Toledo College of Engineering. He has taught courses on strategic supply chain management and corporate finance.

Blaine also serves as a steering member of the region’s Export Success initiative working to improve the export capabilities of local manufacturers and serves as a board of directors member of the Toledo Opera.

His research interests are several, among which are Big and Small Data its impact and use in the manufacturing environment, design thinking, and information systems.
