Dr. Zhang is currently serving as an Associate Professor in Operations Management at the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation in the University of Toledo. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Operations Management from McGill University in Canada and a Master's degree in Management Science and Engineering. Prior to joining the University of Toledo, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Dr. Zhang’s research interests include service and healthcare operations management, supply chain design, facility location, logistics and transportation, optimization and simulation. His research works have appeared at Operations ResearchIIE TransactionsEuropean Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, OR Spectrum, Health Care Management Science, etc. He is a member of INFORMS, POMS, and APICS.
