Shelly Drouillard Liaison Areas: Certifications/ Licensures: Career Pathways: I started out my career working in my family’s warehousing and distribution business. That experience lead me to eventually start my own business related to quality and environmental systems consulting in the automotive industry. Later in life, I went back to school to pursue a master’s degree and was a graduate assistant in an adult career counseling center on campus. I fell in love with career counseling and have since worked exclusively in career services at three different public universities. Fun Fact: "I like the challenge of competing in half marathons and enjoy spending time with my 2 cats and dog". |

Davlon Miller Liaison Areas: Certifications: Career Pathways: My career journey started as a summer helper for my father’s rain gutter company. Next, at the age of 17, I joined the Mississippi National Guard where the emphasis on leadership and teamwork lead me to be successful in the various on-campus positions at Delta State University. My professional journey began as an adult therapist which years later resulted in me becoming the Associate Director of an adolescent treatment facility, where I focused on career development. After completing my work at the treatment center, I became the Director of Career Services at my alma mater which began my official journey in the are of Career Services. Fun Fact: "I wrote a monthly newspaper article for an entire year which sometimes appears on the front page". |

Certifications: Career Pathways: My first professional job was as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. After a year I decided to pack my bags and move to Japan with my husband. I taught ESL for three years, first with NOVA, then for the Toyohashi Board of Education. After returning to the US, I became employed with the YWCA where I was first a Child Advocate for the BWS, then a Sexual Assault Victim’s Advocate and finally a Community Youth Advocate. I wanted to try something new, so I moved to UToledo where I became a TRIO SSS Advisor, then a Career Consultant. Fun Fact: "I love to travel! I have visited 11 countries and hope to explore more with my family". |

Tom Avery Liaison Areas: Certifications: Career Pathways: Several different careers have led me to where I am today. I began in retail management with the Cleveland Indians. Life circumstances then led me to manufacturing. During this time, I decided to return to college to obtain a degree in Education. While pursuing my degree, I learned that higher education was my true passion and have been in higher education since 2004…first as a G.A. in Career Services at BGSU, then for eight years in student services at Indiana University, and for the last five years here at UToledo; first as an Academic Advisor and now in Career Services. Fun Fact: "I am a slow but dedicated runner having taken up the sport about ten years ago. I’ve completed countless 5 and 10Ks and 4 half-marathons". |

Shannon Niedzwicki Degree(s): B.S Recreation Management, Kent State University M.A. Sports Administration, Western Michigan University Certifications: Gallup Strengths Coach; Bringing in the Bystander Certified Trainer, University of New Hampshire; Title IX Coordinator, Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA); Level II ; Title IX Level II; Master Military Resume Writer Places Lived: Ohio, Michigan, Indiana Career Pathways: My passion for higher education began as a freshman, first-generation college student working in campus recreation. From there, I went onto a graduate assistantship in Campus Recreation which led me to my first professional position: Assistant Director of Student Development and Membership at Cleveland State University. Campus Recreation is where my passion for career development and student employment really fostered. I then ventured out into other areas of higher education including admissions, disability services, advising, student conduct, and career services. This led me to my previous position as Director of Student Life Career Services at Marion Technical College where I fell in love with experiential learning, workforce development, community engagement, and career success. Fun Fact: "I was previously a Spinning instructor for ten years." |

Joshua Vail Liaison Areas: Career Pathways: My original plan after graduation was to work in advertising; instead I ended up with a career in human resources. My experience in talent acquisitions allowed me to work with local clients but also top international clients in oil and gas exploration, banking and logistics. Fun Fact: "I enjoy boating". |

Laura Jane Moser Liaison Areas: Employment Development, Events, and Marketing/Communication Degree(s): Career Pathways: My career journey started while I was in my undergraduate studies at Cedar Crest College, where I found my passion for Higher Education. Working in New Student Programs during my studies, opened a world of career paths I could follow. After graduating from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA, I landed a contract with a performance company as a singer/dancer at an Amusement Park in Pennsylvania. While continuing my journey as a creative person in the Arts as a freelance choreographer, I had the opportunity to work as the Coordinator of Student Engagement at Johnson College in Scranton, PA. This role proved to me that my passion for higher education and student development was strong. Now that I have relocated to the Toledo area, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to grow in the field of Career Services. Fun Fact: "I love camping and going on hiking trips". |
