Chinese Bridge Young Global Leaders Summer Camp--The Great Wall Cultural Tour

In order to strengthen exchanges with schools worldwide, Yanshan University plans to initiate an international youth exchange program to China. Together with Chinese language learning, academic exchanges, cultural lectures, and experiences, this program aims to promote profound exchanges between Chinese and international students.

  1. Specific Requirements:

⦿ Project Duration:  Within two weeks (no more than 14 days), including arrival and departure time.

⦿ Project Timeline: May or June 2025.

⦿ Project Contents: Activities includes an opening ceremony, Chinese language courses, cultural lectures, and cultural experiences.

⦿ Group Size: 10-20 participants people (can be organized as an independent group or a combined group)

⦿ Requirements for Group Members:

    • Students: Must be American citizens, whose native language is not Chinese; currently enrolled high school or college students from American public or private schools, or students from related overseas institutions; generally between 14-30 years old; better with HSK Level 2 or YCT Level 3 or above, or pass the examination or the oral Chinese test organized by Yanshan University; have not participated in similar programs within the past three years; in good health and suitable for international travel.
    • Chaperon Teachers: individuals who love education, are approachable, responsible, have strong communication skills, adaptability to the environment, and rich experience in student management and overseas study group leadership; in good health and suitable for international travel.
    • A ratio of 1 chaperon teacher per 10 students is recommended.
  1. Benefits:

⦿ Meals: Free meals a day including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

⦿ Accommodation: Free accommodation provided. Students will be accommodated in twin-bed rooms, while chaperon teachers will have single-bed rooms.

⦿ Transportation: Free local transportation in the city or cross cities in China.

⦿ Courses: Free Chinese language course and YCT examination.

⦿ Cultural Experiences: Free cultural experiences and related activities in China.

International travel expenses, visa application fees, pre-departure Chinese language training, and personal expenses in China for both students and chaperon teachers are to be borne by the individuals themselves.
