Short-term Visiting Scholar Program at Yanshan University
In order to strengthen collaborations with Utoledo, Yanshan University is pleased to announce its program for foreign short-term visiting scholars. This initiative aims to engage with distinguished scholars from around the globe, fostering academic innovation and expanding our global perspective.
- Program Overview:
⦿ Program Duration: The program spans one semester or less, specifically from March to July or from September to January of the following year.
⦿ Program Content: This program invites exceptional scholars worldwide who have demonstrated significant academic achievements. During the program, visiting scholars will conduct academic lectures, participate in scholarly exchanges, teach international courses and workshops, and engage in research activities within our laboratories or research institutions while facilitating meaningful collaboration with our faculty members.
⦿ Workload Requirements: Scholars are required to teach at least one course (no less than16 class hours) or equivalent activities such as lectures, workshops, or scholarly exchanges.
- Application Requirements:
⦿ Applicants must have U.S. citizenship and hold a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent level of expertise; they should also have established a strong reputation along with notable research accomplishments in their respective fields.
⦿ Proficiency in Chinese communication is preferred; or willing to communicate in English during their visit are also welcome.
⦿ Candidates must not have any record of legal infractions or disciplinary actions and should be physically and mentally healthy enough to adapt effectively to life and work conditions in China.

⦿ Complimentary accommodation will be provided in fully furnished on-campus apartments that are ready for immediate occupancy.
⦿ Additionally, we offer round-trip economy class air tickets between your home country and China as well as transportation arrangements from the airport back-and-forth between Qinhuangdao.
