Mid Year Reminder 2025
Outside of new hire enrollment and open enrollment in October, employees can only make changes to their benefit plans if they experience a qualifying life event . The qualifying event enrollment must be submitted within 30 days of the event.
Health Savings Account:
You may adjust the amount you are contributing into your HSA at any time during the year! Any unused funds carry over into 2026.
Medical Flexible Spending Account:
Unused funds, up to $670 can carry over into 2026, otherwise they are forfeited . For a list of approved expenses, please visit Chard Snyder. Claims from 2025 must be submitted by March 31, 2026 to be reimbursed. Contact Chard Snyder at 800.982.7715 with any questions.
Retirement:
Employees can elect or make changes to any voluntary retirement plans throughout the year.
Life Insurance:
If you haven’t already done so, please complete your life insurance beneficiary designation form . Completed forms can be submitted to benefits@utoledo.edu
Dental & Vision:
Prior to making an appointment for dental or vision services, be sure to check that your provider is in network. An ID card is not needed; however, plan information can be found on the dental and vision pages
