How you are billed
We will submit charges to your insurance company for office visits and services provided on site, such as testing, lab draws, some immunizations and medications.
You are responsible for contacting your health insurance company to verify benefits and coverage.
- Know your benefits and co-pay requirements.
- Obtain proper authorization for service when required.
- Submit referral or claims forms if necessary.
Co-pays are collected at time of service. Our student health centers accept credit card payments or cash.
Depending on the services you used during your visit, you could be billed by four institutions. If you have billing questions, be sure to contact the correct agency.

If you aren't using your health insurance, you have the right to receive a "good faith estimate" from your healthcare providers of how much your medical care will cost.
Mental Health care
UToledo offers employees confidential mental health support through the IMPACT Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
The program is available for you and your:

Testing is available at the University Health Center:
10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday
Noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday
Enter the health center via door 2 in the front of the building. No appointment necessary.
Need a COVID-19 vaccine?
Vaccines are available at the University Health Center:
Noon to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday
Noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
