The Master of Arts Degree in Counselor Education with the Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentration prepares students for exciting careers in therapeutic programs involving the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental and emotional disorders.

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Endorsement

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Certificate

Individuals who hold a graduate degree in School Counseling from a CACREP-accredited program are eligible to sit for Ohio licensure with the OCSWMFT Licensure Board through the completion of our CMHC Certificate program. Individuals who did not graduate from a CACREP program may have content deficiencies that will require additional coursework over and above those listed on the CMHC Certificate Plan of Study.

School Counseling Certificate

Individuals who hold a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP-accredited program are eligible to sit for Ohio licensure as a Professional School Counselor with the Ohio Department of Education through the completion of our PSC Certificate program. Individuals who did not graduate from a CACREP program may have content deficiencies that will require additional coursework over and above those listed on the PSC Certificate Plan of Study.
