*This check list includes the application process for the First Year Summer Research Experience (FYSRE), the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Program (USRCAP) and the Academic Year Research Program (AYRP).

Content Guidelines:

_Project Description - 5 to 8 pages
○ What you propose to do.
○ How you propose to do it.
○ Why it is important.
_Timeline
_Budget & Budget Justification
_Academic Statement - 1 to 2 pages
_Faculty Support letter – Sent separately by Faculty mentor 
_References

Formatting Guidelines:

_Double spaced, 12-point or larger font size, 1-inch margins
_Proper File Type: Save as PDF
_File Name: ProgramYear-LastnameFirstname (e.g., USRCAP2018-DoeJohn).

Final Steps:

_Submit the above as ONE electronic (PDF) file.
_A letter of support from your faculty mentor with whom you would be conducting research. The letter
should be submitted from the faculty mentor to Undergraduate.Research@utoledo.edu by the deadline. 

*Note that the proposals are judged on their own merits, so transcripts are NOT required for these programs.
