Bergsmark & Associates Computer Learning Center

The Bergsmark & Associates Computer Learning Center was made possible by a $ 25,000 gift.  Edwin M. Bergsmark '72 initiated the gift in response to the $1 million LaValley Library Challenge during the recent Capital Campaign. The intent of the gift is to provide a forum for students and faculty to access digital legal information. The center contains 20 Windows XP workstations which provide access to word processing, LEXIS and WESTLAW, electronic mail, spreadsheet, database and presentation software, and Internet browsers.  The center provides space for training of and general use by law students; it is also used for training lawyers, librarians and staff.

Reference Area Computers: Two computers located in the Reference Area have been designated for public use for legal research and access to electronic documents which are a part of the Government Depository Program.

UTMOST / OhioLINK Computers The library provides web access to the university's online catalog called UTMOST.  The catalog also provides access to the state-wide online catalog called OhioLINK, from which students may obtain information and items which are not contained in the University of Toledo libraries.  OhioLINK also provides access to searchable databases such as ABI Inform and the Index to Legal Periodicals. All of the networked computers have browsers from which one may access UTMOST/OhioLINK.  Two computers are available exclusively for accessing UTMOST/OhioLINK.  They are located on top of the old card catalog, across from the Circulation Desk. If you need assistance using these catalogs, please see a Reference Librarian.
