Urology-Specific Benefits:

Educational Conferences:
All papers, posters, abstracts etc., that are accepted for presentation will have support from the Department of Urology to attend the conference. Residents are required to submit yearly to the Ohio Urological Society Annual Meeting and the Toledo Surgical Annual Resident Research Forum.

Lab Coats:
Lab coats are provided by the Department of Urology with laundry service available.

Medical Training License:
The annual license renewal fee is paid by the Department of Urology.

Professional Membership Fees:
American Urological Association membership fees are paid by the Department of Urology.

Textbook/Education:
Provided by the Department of Urology:
Hinmans Surgical Atlas, Wieder's Pocket Guide to Urology

Sick Leave:
15 days annually 
Maternity and Paternity leave

Vacations:
R1 3 weeks
R2-R5 4 weeks

There is a special schedule during Christmas and New Year's to give each resident a break of 4 days.
Please note that neither vacation nor sick time accumulates from one year to the next.
