Philanthropy plays a vital role to ensure the continued advancement of medical science and our mission to improve health in the communities and region we serve. Our Medical Research Society, which awards a $55,000 grant annually, is helping faculty with promising research be competitive for national grant awards and creating opportunities for their trainees.

- More than $675,000 has been awarded to investigators as seed funding.
- Over $6 million dollars have been awarded to these investigators from external agencies to continue their research.
- An additional $4 million dollars in grant proposals have been submitted and are currently under review.
- COMLS received $22 million in fiscal year 2023 for research.
