Professor Izsak is a graduate of The University of Toledo Physician Assistant (PA) program. During Professor Izsak’s time in PA school, her professors inspired her to pursue a career in Physician Assistant Education. After graduation, she started working in Emergency Medicine at the Northshore University Health System (NUH) in Evanston, IL. She gained valuable clinical and educational experience in this setting, including precepting PA students and lecturing and assisting with the NP/PA Emergency Medicine Fellowship at NUH. Then, in 2016, while maintaining her work in the Emergency Department, she became a faculty member at Rosalind Franklin University’s (RFU) PA Program in North Chicago, IL.

Professor Izsak and her family moved back to Toledo in the Fall of 2019, where she became the associate program director at the UToledo PA Program. In June 2022, she became the Interim program director, and in August of that same year, she became the program director. In addition, Professor Izsak continues to work clinically in the Family Medicine Department. Before becoming a physician assistant, Professor Izsak was a registered dietitian and worked with the Epilepsy team at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. She worked with pediatric patients and their families, providing ketogenic dietetic education, treatment, and support. Professor Izsak is passionate about her alma mater, the UToledo PA Program, PA education, the local community, and the excellent healthcare physician assistants provide to its members.
