Bio:
Dr. Zahid is a board-certified pharmacist with extensive clinical experience spanning pharmacotherapy, chronic disease management, medication therapy management, and transplantation/immunology.
She began her career as a lung transplant pharmacist at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY from 2018-2021, where in addition to providing comprehensive care to a complex patient population, she also held adjunct instructor academic appointments. She then practiced as a kidney/pancreas transplant pharmacist with the Miami Transplant Institute in Miami, FL from 2021-2022 in both the inpatient and outpatient settings before moving to Ann Arbor, MI. In Summer 2023, she and her family moved down to Toledo, OH. She joined KidneyLink in 2024 as a clinical pharmacist and provided personalized, value-based, patient-centered multidisciplinary care to high-risk CKD, ESRD, and kidney transplant patients across the kidney disease spectrum.
Dr. Zahid joined the UToledo PA Program in Fall 2026 and serves as Course Director and Principal Faculty for the Fundamentals of Pharmacology series. She is passionate about helping students bridge the gap between foundational pharmacology concepts and real-world clinical decision making – and preparing future healthcare providers to make safe, effective, and evidence-based treatment decisions.
