Holiday Door Decorating Contest 2024
All members of the College of Medicine and Life Sciences community were invited to participate in our 2024 Holiday Door Decorating Contest. To get in the holiday spirit, we're asking members of our college community to decorate a door in their office or department or at home.
The theme celebrated the festive fun of ugly holiday sweaters, creating designs inspired by these quirky classics — with bold colors, fun textures and a touch of whimsy. Plus, there was an added touch of Rocket pride with midnight blue and gold.

Happy Holidays from the BRAINS of COMLS!
Department of Neurology
Kayleigh Corado, Ann Murphy, Elle Mclaughlin, Brandi Jones and Brittny Briggs
Our UGLY holiday sweater is anything but boring! With a Rocket themed color-scheme and '80s-chic, but on fleek, capped sleeves and flannel bonus bows, this sweater screams holiday joy. Not only is our BRAIN ready for holiday magic with a festive elf hat, but peeking out from the skirt are a pair of elf boots to match. The hardworking elves of the department (left to right: Kayleigh Corado, Brittny Briggs, Ann Murphy, Elle Mclaughlin, and Brandi Jones), dressed in their own UToledo sweaters, create a festive neckline. Each of our faculty adorns the bulbs of the sweater, bringing brightness and cheer. They surround the STAR of our department, our beloved chair, Dr. Pirzada. Beneath, a stylish pink buckle and belt boasts a row of brains, and, above, neurons, tying together our top with our tinsel skirt. To the sides, our residents and fellows, the GIFTS of our department, peek out from on and within gift bags.
