Minor in Biology

CURRICULUM REQUIREMENTS: 

The Minor in Biology requires 22 BIOL credits, including the following required courses:

    • BIOL 2150 - Fundamentals of Life Science I - 4 credit hours
    • BIOL 2160 - Fundamentals of Life Science Lab I - 1 credit hour
    • BIOL 2170 - Fundamentals of Life Science II - 4 credit hours
    • BIOL 2180 - Fundamentals of Life Science Lab II - 1 credit hour
    • BIOL 3010 - Molecular Genetics - 3 credit hours
    • BIOL 3030 - Cell Biology - 3 credit hours

The remaining 6 credit hours must be taken at the 3000-4000 level.

Classes used to satisfy the requirements of the minor may not be taken P/NC with the exceptions of BIOL 4910, BIOL 4940, BIOL 4950, and BIOL 4990. Non-BIOL courses to satisfy your major requirements cannot be substituted for BIOL courses in the minor.
