Pre-professional Programs

Pre Health AdvisingStudents interested in pursuing a career in the health care area such as medical school, osteopathic medicine, veterinary medicine, dental school or physician's assistant programs typically major in biology.

Specialized advising is available at the UToledo Pre-Health Advising Center. Advising is available by appointment, Monday-Friday. Call 419.530.2220 to schedule in advance. It is recommended that pre-professional students meet with their advisor early in the freshman year. They should also see their biology advisor (and/or Honors advisor) to chart the best sequence of courses to prepare them for their chosen field.

Many pre-professional students are involved with the honors program, Salford Exchange program, undergraduate research and Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) -  the National Health Pre-Professional Honor Society.
