A resource Center for pre-med, pre-dental and pre-vet students

The UToledo Pre-Health Advising Center supports you throughout your undergraduate academic career as you prepare for a career in the health professions. We advise all pre-med, pre-vet and pre-dental students.

Your personal and academic development are important to us. We want you to succeed in our pre-med program. It’s especially important that you practice the skills to become a successful medical student and achieve your goal — to be a practicing physician or healthcare professional. Through workshops, information session, webinars, one-on-one appointments the Pre-Health Advising Center will help you:

  • Make educated decisions about what courses to take
  • Learn more about the healthcare field through hands-on activities ― physician shadowing, medical scribing, volunteering in health clinics, traveling on medical mission trips, attending physician panels and more
  • Understand and plan for the application process to medical school and other professional healthcare programs
  • Introduce you to campus resources, including Career Services and Lloyd A. Jacobs Interprofessional Immersive Simulation Center
  • Help you enhance your medical school application through leadership in relevant student organizations and other activities
  • Develop and strengthen self care practices to manage levels of stress and high academic workloads

Advising is available by appointment Monday – Friday. Call 419.530.2220 to schedule in advance.
