NSF - Sustainable Solar Energy Pathway

Collaboration

Our under-one-roof establishes a multi-disciplinary, highly focused, and effective collaboration. Students belong to the project instead of a specific professor, and they interact discuss faculty of different expertise on a regular basis to solve project problems, implement new ideas, and effectively disseminate results. This crosscutting training better prepares students for careers as scientists in solar energy-related research. Our faculty and students also collaborate with scientists in prestigious national laboratories, including those within the National Center for Photovoltaics (NCPV) at the Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).  Our graduate and undergraduate students will have opportunities to interact with these renowned scientists and laboratories.
