Toledo CellulART
Toledo CellulART is a regional scientific meeting sponsored by the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB). This one-day event is held at the Frank Gehry-designed Center for Visual
Arts at the University of Toledo. It aims to bring together the art and scientific
communities of Northwestern Ohio, Southern Michigan and Northeastern Indiana to appreciate
the link between art and science while also promoting collaboration, interaction and
discussion between researchers working with the cytoskeleton. The meeting includes
poster and oral presentations from graduate and undergraduate students, as well as
invited faculties and world-renowned keynote speakers; it has been highlighted in
the ASCB newsletter, UToledo News and The Blade. Toledo CellulART has helped integrate the research efforts of the University of
Toledo with other universities in the region, it has fostered new collaborations and
exposes graduate and undergraduate students in our program to state-of-the-art research.
Toledo CellulART is on its way to becoming an annual tradition as we have just held
the third annual event).
