Kroger Pharmacy #870

  • Participates in established Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Programs that allow pharmacists to schedule appointments, collaborate with patient's physician, and be reimbursed for clinical pharmacy services
  • Provides MTM and disease state coaching for employees of The City of Toledo and Kroger employees
  • Provides screenings for Kroger employees and patients 
  • The resident will develop and initiate patient care programs within a supermarket chain community pharmacy setting when applicable

Comprehensive care center

The Comprehensive Care Center, one of UTMC's outpatient clinics houses a variety of specialties including General Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Nephrology, and Geriatrics.  The pharmacy resident will spend time within the General Internal Medicine office to assist in the management of chronic disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, smoking cessation, etc.  The pharmacy resident will have opportunity to work with our Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacists, Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Medical Residents.

The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences features state-of-the-art facilities, including a renowned pharmacy practice lab that allows students to gain real-time experience in a functioning pharmacy. Our faculty members are recognized authorities in their areas of specialization, conducting research that contributes to the development of new treatments, practices, and innovations. In fall 2010, the college expanded to The Frederic and Mary Wolfe Center on the University’s Health Science Campus. This distinction allows the college to expand its mission in an academic health science community. The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
