Research Administration
The Research Administration Pre-Award Team provides guidance and resources to support grant proposal development and submission. Services include:
- Assisting Principal Investigators (PIs) with interpreting funding opportunity announcements, including eligibility requirements, cost-share requirements, sponsor restrictions, and other proposal requirements.
- Reviewing PI-prepared proposals to ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines and submission requirements.
- Developing budgets based on the resources and needs of the proposed project.
- Maintaining sponsor agency online user accounts and submission portals.
- Coordinating institutional certifications, assurances, and other required documentation.
- Preparing and facilitating review and approval of University Letters of Commitment when required by a sponsor or lead institution.
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving subaward agreements and related documents.
- Serving as the primary liaison for the administration of subaward agreements with lead organizations.
- Ensuring compliance with federal regulations, sponsor requirements, and University policies throughout the proposal development process.
