The Office of Residence Life is excited to offer you exclusive housing in a Presidents Hall suite for UToledo’s Parents Weekend which will take place Friday, October 25 through Sunday, October 27.  On Saturday, the Toledo Rockets football team will host rival BGSU at 3:30pm.  

Parents Weekend Information

What You’ll Get

  • Three bedroom fully furnished suite with common area and full bathroom
  • Two twin XL beds per suite

Rate

  • $200 for two nights, Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26
    • This rate includes parking for one vehicle and breakfast and accommodations for two guests
  • Each additional guest’s breakfast and accommodations will be $10 per guest with a maximum occupancy of six guests per suite

Check In & Out

  • Reserved guests can check in after 3 p.m. at the Office of Residence Life (1600 W. Rocket Drive, Toledo, Ohio 43606) on Friday, Oct. 25.
    • You will receive keys to your suite as well as a guest card for each guest in your group that will give you access to Presidents Hall  as well as breakfast at the Food Hall at Ottawa East
  • Check out is before 11 a.m. at the Office of Residence Life on Sunday, Oct. 27. You will return all issued keys and guest cards.

Parking

  • Parking will be in Area 25N next to Rocket Hall
  • Have your license plate information ready to register at check-in
    • One vehicle is included in the rate

Guest Housing Accommodations

Guest housing is available at President’s Hall for October 4 – October 6th only. President’s Hall is a suite style residence hall with three, double bedrooms containing two twin XL beds, desk, chair, and closet space. President’s Hall has secured access, air-conditioning, vending machines, laundry machines, kitchens, and floor lounges. Telephone and alarm clocks are not provided.

General Residence Hall Regulations

Occupancy is a privilege extended to the guest by the University. The continuation of this privilege is dependent upon the guest’s reasonable and satisfactory personal conduct. You must abide by all University Policies.

Policies and Regulations

Guests are subject to regulations and policies in the Residence Hall Living Guide, any
additional regulations, policies or standards promulgated by The University of Toledo
or The State of Ohio, and the following.

  • Smoking is not permitted in any residence hall or university property.
  • Guests are not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages in public areas such as
    hallways, lounges, and exterior spaces. Incense, firecrackers, smoke bombs, or
    combustible liquids are prohibited. Use thereof will subject a guest to immediate loss
    of housing privileges.
  • Public area furniture is to remain in public areas for community use and not placed in
    a resident’s room/suite. Likewise, room furnishings are to remain in the guest’s
    room/suite/apartment. Window screens must not be removed for any reason.
  • All noise should be kept to reasonable minimum level 24-hours a day. This is a general
    courtesy to others. No noise should be heard outside of guest’s window.
  • Fire safety equipment (including pull stations, smoke detectors, horns, fire
    extinguishers, and hoses) are provided for the safety of all persons.
  • Carelessness or intentional misuse will subject a resident to immediate loss of housing
    privileges. Guests are expected to secure their keys at all times. If keys are lost, locks
    will be changed with the cost of a minimum of $125 per lock change being the
    responsibility of the guest.

Personal Property Damage

The University assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to a Guest’s personal
property.

Abandoned Property/Facility Damages

Guest assume care for the physical facilities of the residential space. Damage to the
Guest’s room and furnishings will be the financial responsibility of the guest. Damage
to the common area of a suite will be the financial responsibility of guest Residence
Life staff will inspect the room before the guest arrives and after the guest leaves for
any damage to the room.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of registration.

Check–In/Check-Out

Check in at the Ottawa West Housing Office

  • Check in after 3pm
  • Check out before 11am
  • Return keys to the Housing office upon departure
  • The cards issued will gain you access to Presidents Hall and be used for
  • Breakfast at the Food Hall at Ottawa East
  • Parking will be in lot 25N, Rocket Hall, you must register your license plate at
    check in
  • Room rate is $200 for two nights, Friday October 4th and Saturday October 5th
  • The rate includes parking for one vehicle and breakfast for two people
  • Maximum occupancy is 6 persons per suite
  • A charge of $10 will apply for each person over 2 to cover breakfast

Safety and Security

Guests are issued door access cards. The main doors will be locked 24 hours a day
and as such, guests are required to carry their access cards at all times.

Parking

Parking is included in the room rate. You must confirm/verify your license plate at
check in. Parking is available in Lot 25N, next to Rocket Hall.
