Peer Assisted Learning (P.A.L.)

What is a P.A.L?

A Peer Assisted Learning Leader (P.A.L.) supports students academically in select sections of historically difficult courses on campus.

What is their role?

P.A.L.'s are responsible for:

  • Reviewing the course content and familiarizing themselves with the material being taught in class;
  • connecting with their faculty contact on a weekly basis to discuss content, upcoming assignments, exams, questions, and to be the liaison between students and faculty;
  • contacting students enrolled in the course and marketing the program
  • providing 8 hours of tutoring each week to the students enrolled in the selected sections
