Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a student-athlete organization that
provides team representation to the athletic department and input on athletic department
policy and programming.
Facilitated by the President, SAAC meets monthly to discuss current issues affecting student-athletes, provide feedback on programs and policies, provide community service opportunities, and plan upcoming events. Meetings are open to any student-athlete and if you are interested in becoming active in SAAC, please contact Traci Snyder, Director of Student-Athlete Development at 419.530.3647 or traci.snyder@utoledo.edu
Mission
The mission of the University of Toledo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image, while representing the Athletic Department. SAAC will act as a liaison between student-athletes and the student body, coaching staff, and academic advisors regarding the needs and concerns that impact academic performance and personal well-being of student-athletes.
Please view the SAAC constitution for further details.
A minimum of two representatives from each athletic team is recommended to be present at each monthly SAAC meeting throughout the academic year. Team representatives can be selected by their coaches or peers based on their leadership qualities, interest, and available time commitments.
