The Student-Athlete Support Services staff works to provide opportunities for all student athletes to acquire the proper study skills and course-specific information through tutoring to be successful in the classroom. Tutorial assistance is available to all student-athletes through both the Rocket Academic Center and the University's Learning Enhancement Center (LEC) located in the basement of Carlson Library, which offers tutoring in the to all UT students free of charge.

The Rocket Launch Tutoring Program is offered as a supplement to assist student-athletes in math, science, economics, business, social science and humanities. The tutors, academic coaches and student-athletes work together once or twice per week to develop the independent thinking and learning skills necessary to achieve positive results without compromising the integrity of the educational process. Any student- athlete who feels they need extra assistance with a class may request to meet with a tutor. To request a tutor, student-athletes must contact your Athlete Academic Coordinator for more information.
