Carlson Library Juvenile & Children's Literature Collection
The Carlson Library Juvenile Collection consists of books for pre-kindergarten, elementary, and young adult readers. This collection of children's literature (both fiction and non-fiction) supports the University's teacher education program and children's literature courses. A special effort has been made to include the Newbery & Caldecott award books for each year. Many of the juvenile books will have short summaries available in the UT Library Catalog.
Location
The Juvenile Collection is located along the walls in the northeast corner of the fourth floor of Carlson Library, behind the General Collection books with call numbers QP.
Arrangement
Juvenile books are arranged by Library of Congress Call Numbers, with the majority of the books beginning with P, the letter designating fiction.
