Class of 1969 

  • Nancy Collins is the Director of the Cytotherapy Laboratory at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, New York. Dr. Collins specializes in the development of new laboratory techniques to increase the success of stem cell transplants in patients with life-threatening blood diseases, including certain lymphomas and leukemias. She is featured in the Spring 2004 UT Alumni Magazine. She gave inaugural AWIS and the 2nd annual distinguished alumna lecture “Stem Cell Research: Facts, Myths and Future Directions” on Wednesday, October 5, 2005. She was recognized as the Outstanding Alumna from the College of Arts and Sciences (for the Sciences) for Homecoming 2005. Click here for information on her lecture. Class of 1947

  • Julius Jacobson established a new Endowed Professorship for the Biological Sciences department. For full details visit the Joan L. and Julius H.
