Bio
After receiving his Ph.D. from Michigan State University, Dr. Sam Okoroafo joined The University of Toledo's John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation in 1986. His areas of expertise involve Marketing Strategy, International Business/Marketing/Management, Logistics and Buyer Behavior.

Research
Dr. Okoroafo has been prolific publisher in high quality refereed international business journals such as Journal of Business Research, Management International Review, Journal of Product and Brand Management, International Marketing Review, Industrial Marketing Management and Journal of Global Business, to mention a few. He received the COBI Faculty Research award in 1995. Also, in 2001 he was ranked 2nd globally in publications in key international marketing journals.
Teaching
Dr. Okoroafo taught at all levels of instruction available in our college (undergraduate, graduate, EMBA, Ph.D.). Also, he developed and taught new courses such Export Management, Understanding Cultural for International Business andInternational Marketing (MBA, PhD), and was active in curriculum development in international business via grant applications, etc. Beyond successfully teaching and mentoring students over the years, he had them experience learning by conducting Study Abroad Trips for graduate and under-graduate students to countries like UK, France, and China.
Service
Dr. Okoroafo participated in department, college (e.g., IBI), and university (e.g., Graduate Council, Grievance, Sabbatical, etc.) committees/initiatives. For instance, he chaired the committee that produced our college’s first Diversity Plan. Also, he has provided contributions to my professional area, International Business. As an example, he conceptualized, founded, and started an academic journal, Journal of African Business (Journal of African Business | Taylor & Francis Online) and served as its inaugural editor (1998-2007). At that time. it was the only international academic (peer reviewed) journal devoted exclusively to African business. In addition, he served on the editorial board of many academic journals and reviewed numerous articles.
