Guest Information

If you plan to attend Law Spring Commencement on Sunday, May 5, 2019, please review the details below. The ceremony begins at 1 pm at the Student Union Auditorium. Students must arrive between Noon-12:15 pm for check-in. Doors open for guests at Noon. There will be a reception at the Law Center following the ceremony. 


There is no limit to the number of guests who can attend the ceremony or reception. No tickets are required.


Drop-off areas and accessible seating will be available for individuals with disabilities or guests with limited mobility. Closed captioning will also be provided. Once you arrive at the auditorium, please see a staff member for additional assistance.

Directions & Lodging

The commencement ceremony will take place in the Student Union auditorium room 3010. The Student Union is located on the south end of the Centennial Mall just north of the Carlson Library. The College of Law's Law Center is located at 1825 W. Rocket Drive, immediately inside the West Entrance to the University, off Secor Road just south of Bancroft Street. The buildings are only a 5-10 minute walk apart with several parking lots around campus to accommodate those with mobility concerns. Lodging options are a short drive from the Law Center, and many offer special UT rates. For more information, visit our directions and lodging page.


Free parking will be available in all UT parking lots and structures on May 5. We recommend parking at the Law Center. Handicapped parking spaces are available adjacent to the Student Union for individuals who have a valid state-issued handicapped card or plate.
