The Electron Microscopy Facility is fully accredited, certified and licensed; copies of our certification can be obtained via the following links: CLIA; CAP.
Platelet Storage Pool Deficiency Analysis
Our facility offers reference testing for diagnosing platelet dysfunction disorders. Specifically, we routinely evaluate patients suspected of having dense granule (delta) storage pool deficiency.
Diagnostic Electron Microscopy Services
A Transmission Electron Microscopy Study can be carried out on virtually any tissue of the body. The EM Facility applies specific protocols to tissues in order to fine tune micrographic imaging for clear ultrastructural analysis.
Clinical Specimen Submission Forms
Information regarding the submission of patient specimens for platelet storage pool deficiency analysis, platelet ultrastructural analysis, or diagnostic electron microscopy services.
For Researchers
Many kinds of research can benefit from a transmission electron microscopy study. If you are looking for a full service TEM lab on the UTMC campus, we can fulfill that need.
