Scientific Glassblowing Laboratory
The Scientific Glassblowing Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
is available for the glassblowing needs of UToledo faculty, staff and students, researchers
at regional colleges and universities and scientists in industry. Repair and modification
of scientific apparatus and glassware, as well as custom design work, are available
for both Pyrex and quartz glass.
For the safety of the glassblower, all glassware must be cleaned before work can be started.

Standard Rates (effective March 1, 2023):
UToledo:
$40/hour plus parts and materials
Non-UToledo Colleges and Universities: $60/hour plus parts and materials
Industry and Non Academic Entities: $100/hour plus parts and materials
Additional charges may apply for quartz glass, please inquire.
