Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is given that on January 28, 2026 a public hearing will be held in Room 3700 of University Hall at 2801 West Bancroft Street, Toledo, Ohio 43606 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Toledo, Ohio time with respect to the proposed issuance by the University of Toledo, a state university of Ohio (the “University”), of General Receipts Bonds (the “Bonds”) in the maximum principal amount of $40,000,000, to be issued as part of a plan of financing in one or more series pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Sections 3345.11 and 3345.12 and 9.98 through 9.983 (made applicable by Section 3345.12).
A portion of the Bonds will be issued as qualified 501(c)(3) bonds under Section 145 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and the proceeds of such portion of the Bonds will be used to finance the costs of acquiring, constructing, equipping, furnishing, reconstructing, altering, remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating, improving, maintaining, repairing and operating auxiliary facilities or educational facilities (as defined in the Act) of the University (the “Project”) located on or in close proximity to the University’s Health Science Campus, located on an approximately 450-acre site in the city of Toledo, the administrative offices of which are located at 3000 Arlington Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614.
The University is the owner of the Project.
The Bonds will be special obligations of the Issuer and will not constitute a debt or a pledge of the faith and credit or the taxing power of the Issuer or the State of Ohio.
Persons wishing to express their views on the proposed Bonds and the location and nature of the facilities to be financed by the Bonds may appear at the hearing or may submit their views in writing. Any written submissions should be sent to the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of the University, 2801 W. Bancroft Street, Mail Stop 454, Toledo, Ohio 43606 and clearly marked “Re: General Receipts Bonds.” Written submissions should be mailed in sufficient time to be received before 8:00 a.m. Toledo, Ohio time on January 28, 2026.
