Emily Cohoe joined the Professional Staff Council in 2022 as the council appointee. She currently the Vice-Chair of PSA and serves as co-chair of the communications committee. Before becoming Vice-Chair, Emily was the PSA secretary. 

As the marketing manager for enrollment, Emily Cohoe is responsible for developing innovative and strategic marketing to support recruitment, enrollment and retention of UToledo students.

Originally from Metro-Detroit, Emily has had a lifelong passion for advocacy and education. Before working in Higher Education, Emily was a domestic violence and family law social worker. Her background in social work and her love of education made her transition into higher education a natural fit. She has worked as an admission counselor for multiple institutions and served as the marketing and enrollment specialist for UToledo's College of Arts and Letters. As the marketing manager for enrollment, Emily combines her strategic mindset, creative abilities and passion for the life-changing experience of higher education to help students navigating their college search.

Emily received her masters in educational psychology from The University of Toledo and is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in disability studies. Her undergraduate degree is in family life education with a specialization in community services. 

Outside of work, Emily is known for being an excellent cat mom and a mediocre plant mom. She can also be found performing in local choirs and theaters, reading a good book or spending time with friends and family.
