Don Curtis

Don Curtis

Don Curtis re-joined the Professional Staff Council in 2024, after a seven-year hiatus. His first term began in 2003, and he served for more than ten years in various capacities, most notably as Chair of the Communications Committee, where he pioneered the PSA Voice newsletter, modernized the PSA Website, transitioned the organization to online voting, and automated the membership list. In 2017, he was the inaugural recipient of the President Frank E. Horton Outstanding Professional Staff Award.

Holding two UToledo degrees (MA and BA in English), Don works in Information Technology as a Senior Software Developer. He has been on campus since 1992, except for three years in the corporate world at a Web startup company in the dot-com boom.

Don enjoys helping others and plans to focus on connecting PSA members with each other, building up awareness of their mutual need for each other, and helping the PSC take an appropriately-sized, active role in the larger UToledo community. Outside of work, Don is passionate about helping those who live on the margins of society, volunteering in various local ministries that address poverty, drug and alcohol addiction, and social injustices.
